Why I Read

Why I read,

I read because i believe that through reading i grow a new vocabulary, become more intelligent and I am able to have a clear understanding of the book. Some reasons i believe reading gives you a larger vocabulary is every book you read the author has different word choice. And through the different vocabulary grows a larger and larger vocabulary. If a person is reading an adult book the particular person must have a high understanding of vocabulary to be able to understand the book's plot. A second reason i believe is reading makes you more intelligent. I believe that because through reading you get a larger vocabulary which allows you to use more intelligent words than using plain undescriptive words that have no flow or style. Since you have a more of a variety of words you are more likely to use them and be able to speak to highly intelligent people instead of slowing or compacting more general undescriptive words. Once i read something that I understand completely i want to have something to move on to. Books I like to read are books that can clearly deliver a concept/plot and is still able to have a larger enough vocabulary to make myself have a challengeable book to read and enjoy. In doing so books that i can understand are books that have no flaws, just outstanding

  1. It's interesting that you zeroed in on the role of words and vocabulary. Sometimes they attract people to a plot and sometimes they repel people from the plot.
