A book is an object that brings joy and curiosity to people’s life. A book is also a gateway into the imagination of the author and can bring a feeling of sensuality of being in the book. Traits that come to mind about books are unique and sometimes secretive. Thrilling and unimaginable plots and cliff hangers. Outstanding characters that cannot be described in words.  I agree with Joe Meno’s statement “The Kindle, the iPad, these are just variations of a need we have as a civilization, as a species, to use our imagination, and this need is as important in this time as any other.” Some reasons are just because someone is reading a different way doesn’t mean it’s wrong, no it means they found pleasure and enjoyment in reading through a more modern way. To me that’s perfectly fine as long as they are reading and growing in their knowledge. Books on a Kindle, Ipad, or IPhone are all the same to me because the technology has grown and the people have grown. Like I said I could care less if the people are reading the bible on an Ipad, they’re still reading and that’s the most important part isn’t it. How can you believe that you must read a certain way? If a person was reading upside down and backwards I wouldn’t think anything of it because it’s an epidemic in the country of people not reading and we are becoming farther and farther behind other nations whose people read constantly for enjoyment. Now I believe there is something magical about a book but, why does it hav3e to be in a book form? Why can’t it be on an electronic device? Are we that incapable of believing that someone is playing an app rather than reading? I mean come on show some confidence. I strongly believe that if you read you will become smarter and we need to become smarter.

Hi, how are you today? Haha, really? That's great! Well, I just want to say that I agree with what you said about reading with technology. We are an evolving society and if an individual chooses to evolve with it and read with technology then they should be able to do that with no condemnation from anyone! Hahahaha, yeah, for sure! See ya!
ReplyDeletePeople are not reading enough. And I like they way you put it. It doesn't really matter what way a person is reading, as long as they are reading. I wish that more people would read for enjoyment because it does help you become more smart. It improves your vocabulary and even your imagination skills. It seems everywhere you look, everything is the same. All the TV shows are the same, and everything people do are the same. Books have all sorts of creativity and imagination in them that you may not be able to find in a re-run of a TV sitcom.
